Hearthstone Invites You to the Showdown in the Badlands

Can you survive the Badlands? Blizzard

The latest expansion for Hearthstone is now live. It's time to join the Showdown in the Badlands and enjoy the 145 new collectible cards. There's going to be Legendary Outlaws along with the new Quickdraw and Excavate keywords.

What's been happening? It seems that the Bloodrock Mining Company has been polluting the Badlands and as a result have started t awaken the sleeping Elementals. Of course, this has put everyone at risk. The chaos has also seen the rise of outlaws, renegades who are doing what they can to keep the peace.

The Legendary Outlaws

In the game, players can look forward to seeing the Demon Hunter, Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman classes each having a Legendary outlaw. This is a minion which has a powerful effect if the deck has no duplicates in it. In addition, there's also the Lone Ranger Reno. This outlaw is the first ever Neutral Hero card for Hearthstone.

Time to Mine

The new expansion introduces two new keywords to the game. Cards having the Excavate keyword adds the Excavated Treasures to the player's hand. The first time players Excavate, they get a 1-cost Common Treasure. The second time Excavate is used a random 2-cost Rare Treasure is obtained with the third time handing out a random 3-cost Epic Treasure. Then once the mine is all tapped out, players can start the cycle from the start.

That's not all since the Death Knight, Mage, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior seems to have teamed up with the Bloodrock Mining Company. These expert mining classes have the abilities to Excavate fourth level of Treasures deep in the mine.

Fast Hands

Now in the Badlands, the difference between life and death can be determined on how fast one is on the draw. Cards having the Quickdraw mechanic comes with a special bonus the turn they come into the hands of the players. The Heat Wave card for example can deal 2 damage to an enemy minion and its neighbors. However, it's Quickdraw ability deals that damage to all enemies instead.

Wanted: Dead or Alive

Riding rampant in the Badlands are a lot of outlaws and crooks. Beginning November 20, players can be deputized and being to chase bounties. Those who complete Event Quests to earn those Event XP on the special event rewards track. Completing the rewards tracks can earn players 2 Showdown in the Badlands Packs, 5 Catch-Up Packs, and the Trader Rafaam Warlock Hero Skin. This event ends December 5.
