Xur is back, Destiny fans!
This week, Xur can be found in The Reef.
The Agent of the Nine has returned for his final visit of 2016. Technically, it’ll be Xur’s first visit of 2017, too. But we figure most Destiny: Rise Of Iron players will have already visited the exotic item vendor by Sunday morning and he’ll only be around a few hours on New Year’s Day. So the Destiny community can always pretend he left a few hours early if next weekend’s haul turns out to be a better start to 2017 than the exotic armor/weaponry being sold this weekend. And that wouldn’t exactly be hard to accomplish, given the recent spate of repeats being sold by Xur.
Last week, whatever player-hating algorithm that determines Xur’s inventory decided to kick off Christmas weekend with a bunch of repeats we’ve seen a plethora of times over the last two-plus years. And the majority of the Destiny players who’d still be excited to buy Knucklehead Radar or Empyrean Bellicose probably didn’t open their copies until after the Agent of the Nine left on Sunday morning. Plan C is a solid addition to any arsenal but top-tier firearms aren’t exactly in short supply at this point in Destiny’s life, either. Even a new Guardian is going to have more guns than they know what to do with after a few hours of play time. But the unexpected return of current engrams, instead of legacy gear, should be a welcome sight to Destiny players around the globe.
Here’s everything Xur is selling the Destiny community Dec. 30 - Jan. 1:
Crest of Alpha Lupi
- Defense: 350
- Intellect: 104
Don't Touch Me

SUROS Regime

Exotic Engram - Helmet
As always, Xur has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine is also selling a handful of other curios, including find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades. Sparrows with blue and red contrails are available this week, along with Motes of Light, Heavy Ammo Synthesis and Glass Needles. Unfortunately, for those who'd already grown accustomed to seeing them in Xur's inventory, the Agent of the Nine is no longer selling weapon ornaments to the Destiny community. Stacks of Three of Coins are missing this week too.
Destiny: Rise Of Iron is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One.
