While it is not necessarily new, more and more League of Legends players have found their way to Dota 2. And just recently, one of them has reached a new milestone in the game’s matchmaking ranking.

Former League of Legends pro player Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi has been playing ranked games in Dota 2 for some time now. While the experience has its own share of ups and downs, looks like everything has been worth it so far. This is most especially when he just reached Ancient One in the game.

The said rank is basically between 3,800 and 4,000 MMR – a feat he conquered after playing 300 ranked games. Of course, the MMR ladder is still high, but it is interesting to see LoL players – pro or otherwise – play Dota 2 as most of them would rather stick to one of these multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games.

Sneaky is known for playing the carry role in Valve’s title. This actually makes his ascend to the MMR ladder impressive since playing the role and being successful at it require years of experience. While most players – even those who have been playing Dota 2 for years already – would find it hard to climb a higher rank, his skill seems perfectly natural.

When Sneaky first calibrated for his MMR, he landed at Archon Two. For those who do not know, before you start ranking in Dota 2, you need to play 10 games. The results would help calibrate a player’s starting rank. As for Sneaky, after calibrating 10 ranked games, he started as an Archon Two player. This is actually not really, really bad as most would easily fall in the lowest tiers. In League of Legends, his current rank would translate to low tiers of Diamond and high tiers of Platinum in ranked queues.

Of course, Sneaky still has a long way to go in Dota 2, especially if he plans to compete professionally in the game. Still, it is safe to say that he is well on his way to the highest tiers in the game.
